INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE 2009 COMMUNITY INVESTMENT SURVEY
First, thank you in advance for taking the time to participate in this important VBA project. Please keep the following in mind as you work through this document:
1. All information requested should be from June 30, 2008 through June 30, 2009 unless otherwise noted.
2. All individual institution information submitted will be kept strictly and completely confidential with access to the information restricted to authorized VBA personnel only. No one else will have access to it.
3. No proprietary information should be provided. Rather, all information should be coming from documents and records that are publicly available, such as your Call Report, or information available to regulators, such as your HMDA and CRA records.
4. No information submitted by individual institutions will be reported by institution. Rather, all data, will be reported in aggregate.
5. Information is requested regarding statistics of the three major CRA categories:
Lending
Investments
Service
We believe that the form is reasonably self explanatory, however, we all know questions will arise, so please do not hesitate to call Courtney Fleming at the VBA at (804) 819-4748 or email her at cfleming@vabankers.org and she will attempt to answer your questions or find someone who can. Again, remember that all information will be maintained confidentially.
