About Our Speakers
Lori Charlebois
CPA, Partner | Crowe
Lori has over 30 years of public accounting experience, specializing in audits of financial institutions, mortgage banking, and broker dealers with emphasis in internal controls of all industries. A majority of Lori’s public accounting career has been in the financial institution industry, serving banks from $5 million to $60 billion in assets, including SEC and non-SEC banks. However, her main focus is on community banks and servicing their regulatory, reporting, credit and capital needs as they grow organically or through acquisitions.
Jeff Galus
Manager, FS Internal Audit Loan Review | Crowe
Jeff is a versatile credit professional with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily commercial lending. Jeff has significant experience in loan review, risk assessment, underwriting, loan administration, credit policy, distressed asset workout, bank litigation, and OREO management. Prior to working with Crowe, Jeff held the following positions:
- Vice President of Credit for boutique real estate investment firm in the Chicagoland area. Jeff ran the credit committee, established credit policy, and evaluated all opportunities for risk, feasibility, and profitability.
- Senior Vice President & Division Head with a $30B+ regional bank holding company in the Chicagoland area. Specializing in distressed asset management, Jeff’s responsibilities included risk assessment, management litigation, workout, and disposition of failed bank assets acquired under loss sharing agreements with the FDIC.
David Larocque
CRCM, CAMS, Senior Manager | Crowe
David is a senior manager in Crowe’s Financial Services Consulting Practice. He has over 10 years of experience working in professional services in the Northeast and over 15 years of experience in the banking industry. He is an engagement leader for financial institutions with deep expertise in regulatory compliance and Anti-Money Laundering (AML). He is responsible for leading regulatory compliance engagements for Crowe’s Financial Services clients in the Northeast.
Andrew Mahassek
Consultant | Crowe
Andrew is a Consultant in Crowe’s Financial Services Consulting practice. He focuses on technology and cybersecurity risk management for clients in the banking industry. Andrew has performed numerous audits related to information system and application controls. Prior to joining Crowe, Andrew graduated Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a focus in Information Systems.
Kristen Ocampo, CPA, CIA, CFE
Senior Consultant | Crowe
Kristen is part of Crowe’s Financial Services Internal Audit practice and has over seven years of audit experience. She provides risk-based internal audit services for clients in the financial services industry, including those subject to Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and FDICIA requirements. Kristen is an active member of Virginia’s internal audit community and serves as the Program Chair for the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Northern Virginia Chapter, where she plans monthly internal audit programing events for the chapter.
Trevor Quinlan
Senior Manager, CISSP | Crowe
Trevor oversees a team of dedicated penetration testing specialists, who work with small and medium-size financial institutions. Trevor is a Senior Manager with seven years of hands-on experience with a variety of penetration testing assessments and cybersecurity reviews supporting internal audits. Prior to joining Crowe LLP, he served in the Navy Reserves for six years performing various IT-related functions and leadership roles.

Cancellation policy
All cancellations will be charged a $25.00 administrative fee. Cancellations received less than 72 business hours before the program will be charged a $75.00 administrative fee plus any additional fees associated with the training. Substitutions are allowed prior to the beginning of the conference.
