Congratulations to Ronit Jain who was named this year’s statewide winner. Ronit was hosted by Village Bank. As the statewide winner, Ronit received a $5,000 scholarship in addition to his $2,500 regional scholarship.

Each of the six regional winners will receive a $2,500 college scholarship. There were also six honorable mention winners who will each receive a $1,000 college scholarship.

- What’s the top thing on your bucket list? When I graduate college and I am stable enough, my main goal is to open up my own business, specifically my own coffee shop!
- If you could host a talk show or podcast, who would be your first guest? My sister would be my first guest to show how we have grown up, things that have inspired us, and how we lean on each other no matter what. She is someone I have always looked up to in the adversities I have faced, therefore always giving me the best advice she can. Because of that, I will be forever grateful for the relationship we have.
- Favorite weekend activity: I have multiple favorite weekend activities! I love going to our local farmer’s market and supporting local businesses. Another activity that I love is going to the lake and just enjoying the time outside with my friends and family. Lastly, my family and I have a weekly outing in which we always pick a coffee shop to go to and enjoy each other’s presence.
- How would you spend one million dollars? I would spend one million dollars by donating to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. My nana is someone who has lived with Progressive MS for a majority of her life. I wish to donate the money to find a cure and to help others in her same situation. I would also spend the money by working throughout my community to help those in need as well as region wide.
